- Dec 16, 2021 · 3 years agoSure! As of now, approximately 115 million Ether has been mined. However, it's important to note that Ethereum has a maximum supply cap of 18 million Ether per year, which means the rate of mining will decrease over time. So, the total amount of Ethereum mined will continue to increase, but at a slower pace.
- Dec 16, 2021 · 3 years agoWell, let me break it down for you. Ethereum started with a pre-mine of 72 million Ether, which was distributed to the initial contributors and developers. Since then, the remaining Ether has been mined through a Proof of Work (PoW) algorithm. As of now, around 115 million Ether has been mined, and the mining process is ongoing. So, there's still a long way to go before we reach the maximum supply of 18 million Ether per year.
- Dec 16, 2021 · 3 years agoAccording to the latest data, approximately 115 million Ether has been mined so far. However, it's worth mentioning that Ethereum is transitioning from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, which means the mining process will eventually be replaced by staking. This transition will have an impact on the rate of Ethereum mining in the future.
