I'm new to the world of cryptocurrencies and I'm wondering how many satoshis (sats) are needed to buy one Bitcoin. Can someone explain the conversion rate between sats and Bitcoin and how it affects the price of Bitcoin?

- Dec 18, 2021 · 3 years agoTo buy one Bitcoin, you would need 100 million satoshis. Satoshi is the smallest unit of Bitcoin, named after its creator Satoshi Nakamoto. The conversion rate is 1 Bitcoin = 100 million satoshis. This means that if you want to buy a fraction of a Bitcoin, you can use satoshis to represent that fraction.
- Dec 18, 2021 · 3 years agoIf you're wondering why Bitcoin is often priced in satoshis, it's because the price of one Bitcoin can be quite high. By using satoshis, it allows for easier price comparisons and transactions. For example, if Bitcoin is priced at $50,000, it would be easier to say that it's 5 million satoshis.

This means that if you want to buy one Bitcoin, you would need 100 million satoshis. Keep in mind that the price of Bitcoin can fluctuate, so the number of satoshis needed may change.

This means that regardless of the price of Bitcoin, the number of satoshis needed to buy one Bitcoin remains the same. It's important to note that you can buy fractions of a Bitcoin, so you don't necessarily need to buy a whole Bitcoin.
