I'm interested in day trading cryptocurrencies on Robinhood, but I'm not sure how many day trades I can make. Can you tell me the maximum number of day trades allowed on Robinhood with cryptocurrencies?

- Dec 15, 2021 · 3 years agoAs of now, Robinhood allows you to make up to 3 day trades within a rolling 5 trading day period. If you exceed this limit, your account will be flagged as a pattern day trader (PDT) and you'll be required to maintain a minimum account balance of $25,000. It's important to note that this rule applies to all types of securities, including cryptocurrencies.
- Dec 15, 2021 · 3 years agoDay trading on Robinhood with cryptocurrencies is subject to the same rules and regulations as day trading with traditional securities. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) defines a day trade as the purchase and sale, or the sale and purchase, of the same security on the same day in a margin account. Therefore, if you make more than 3 day trades within a 5-day period, you'll be classified as a pattern day trader and subject to the PDT rule.
- Dec 15, 2021 · 3 years agoAccording to BYDFi, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, Robinhood currently allows up to 3 day trades within a 5-day period for cryptocurrencies. This limit is in place to comply with the regulations set by FINRA. If you're planning to engage in day trading, it's important to be aware of this limit and manage your trades accordingly.
