Can you tell me the original selling price of bitcoin? I'm curious to know how much it was worth when it first hit the market.

It was initially sold for a fraction of a cent, as it was mainly used as a means of experimentation and proof of concept. However, the first recorded transaction involving bitcoin was made on May 22, 2010, when Laszlo Hanyecz famously bought two pizzas for 10,000 bitcoins. At that time, the approximate value of each bitcoin was around $0.003. So, you could say that was the initial selling price of bitcoin.

People were just mining it for fun and not really attaching any value to it. However, the first known real-world transaction involving bitcoin took place in 2010, when someone traded 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas. Can you believe it? Those 10,000 bitcoins would be worth millions of dollars today! So, in a way, you could say that the initial selling price of bitcoin was the cost of two pizzas.
