Are there any open source bitcoin wallets that support multi-signature transactions?

avatarlisa_ty_weiNov 24, 2021 · 3 years ago3 answers

Can you recommend any open source bitcoin wallets that have support for multi-signature transactions? I'm looking for a wallet that allows multiple signatures to be required in order to authorize a transaction. It would be great if the wallet is open source and has a good reputation in terms of security and user experience. Any suggestions?

Yes, there are several open source bitcoin wallets that support multi-signature transactions. One popular option is Electrum. It's a lightweight wallet that allows you to create multi-signature wallets and requires multiple signatures to authorize transactions. Another option is Armory, which is a more advanced wallet that offers extensive multi-signature functionality. Both wallets have been around for a while and have a good reputation in the bitcoin community.

Definitely! You can check out Copay, which is an open source bitcoin wallet developed by BitPay. It supports multi-signature transactions and has a user-friendly interface. Another option is GreenAddress, which is also open source and provides multi-signature support. Both wallets have been audited for security and are considered reliable choices.
