About e-Money

e-Money is a blockchain-based payment platform that is committed to promoting financial inclusion and providing easy access to digital currencies worldwide. Utilizing Cosmos technology, the e-Money protocol enables the issuance of interest-bearing stablecoins that are backed by a variety of global currencies. Each token is supported by a reserve of assets denominated in its respective underlying currency. Currently, e-Money supports eEUR, eCHF, as well as stablecoins backed by Scandinavian currencies (eNOK, eDKK, and eSEK), with plans to introduce additional currencies in 2021. The e-Money ecosystem also includes the Next Generation Money (NGM) token, which serves as a staking and rewards token for securing the e-Money network.

The project emphasizes transparency and undergoes quarterly reserve audits conducted by Ernst & Young. Unlike most stablecoins that maintain a fixed 1:1 peg with their underlying assets, the value of e-Money's currency-backed tokens fluctuates in accordance with the interest earned on the reserve assets. This allows token holders to benefit from the interest accrued while their assets remain securely stored in their wallets.

The e-Money blockchain facilitates instant payments on a large scale and incorporates a decentralized exchange (DEX) for convenient currency conversions. e-Money has already integrated with Ethereum and plans to integrate with Binance Smart Chain, Cosmos Hub, Avalanche, Polygon, and Elrond in 2021.
