Hathor utilizes a DAG-based transaction arrangement outside of blocks, ensuring scalability and decentralization. This approach simplifies the creation of new tokens and ensures that tokens within the network operate with the same scalability and security as the native HTR token. Development of the project commenced on August 27, 2018, and the mainnet network was launched on January 3, 2020. Hathor is a public and open-source project, welcoming anyone to participate.
