GoodDollar ($G) aims to be a reserve-backed token that is distributed daily as a form of digital basic income to registered users, acting as a universal basic income (UBI). Each $G token will initially be backed by DAI. The UBI model relies on supporters who deposit underlying assets on the platform and yield farm on supported DeFi protocols. A portion of the accrued interest is returned to the supporters, while the remaining is collateralized for new $G tokens distributed daily. GoodDollar is a non-profit organization funded by donations from eToro. They claim to have created new wallets in countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, and Venezuela.
